It's All About Me
Quite literally last night when I got home I had a long ass post to write as well as watch Heroes. I did neither. I fell asleep in my chair. I woke up in the middle of the night with a severe back ache. So I went to bed. Luckily… I was still able to see Heroes through the miracle that is my brother’s DVR or TiVo or whatever you call it. What I wasn’t able to do was get a post up for the early morning readers like Ms. Sunshine who is surfing by 6:00am.
When I did wake up… well I had to watch Heroes… and then I was running late as usual. So I still didn’t get a chance to post something.
So I’m going to go the cheap and lazy way out for today. So here’s a quick little meme/quiz I decided to do that I found over at Did I Say That?:

So there you have it… apparently I’m not preggo. Phew! That was a close one.
For those of you who have not had the opportunity to read Mr. Fabulous yet today, he has issued a final call to arms for getting votes at The Blogger’s Choice Awards. He is one of the blogs up against the behemoth mongrel child known as Douche Dooce. I beg of you to consider voting for him. This corporate whore sellout cannot win in a category she has absolutely no place being in.
As for my own bid to become The Best Videoblogger at the same awards, well let’s just say I’m throwing in the active towel. I’ll leave my promo video and the graphic up, but I will no longer be actively whoreing myself out for votes. As of this morning I am 145 votes behind the leader. The good news about it is that the leader right now is not YouTube… it is in fact Brotherhood 2.0.
Brotherhood 2.0, as I may have mentioned before, is really a pretty great concept. Their videos are posted daily and generally intertwine with each other. It is in fact a conversation you can follow. These guys are actual video bloggers truest to the concept that I have seen in that category. Whereas I do videos generally once a week… they do it every day which to me is more of what vlogging should really be. My problem with YouTube being nominated, is that they were not nominated for any videos they created. They were nominated for highlighting other people’s content. That to me does not a video blogger make. Additionally, it appears that YouTube will start experimenting with advertising come this summer. I can’t say that I’m all that surprised considering the price they bought for… but I am a bit saddened.
I would like to thank everyone who did vote for me. I really do appreciate the support. This basically comes on the heels of not only being left behind by over 100 votes, but also because while I currently hold third place, the fourth place Vlogger (Maryccc) has earned 69 VERY suspicious votes. Most of them are names similar to her own, plus the months of the year, and the days of the week. The vast majority of them only have one vote cast. All of this is indicative of the proverbial “stuffing the ballot box”. This vlogger has obviously corrupted the category and is obviously a phony. I left a comment both on the site and her blog to tell her so. She also endangers Brotherhood 2.0‘s chances of winning.
So to assure that Brotherhood 2.0 wins over the corporate mongers at YouTube and the ballot stuffing practices of Maryccc… I am officially throwing my support behind them. You can vote for them here. I already did.

So there’s been this thing called Twitter that quite a few people have gotten into. So I guess you could say that I’m a follower… because now I got it too. It’s over there in the sidebar. I don’t know how much I’ll actually use it. It is a good solution though to my moblogging issue if I get deployed… assuming of course that I have cell service. It actually makes me kind of laugh… mainly because one of the many acronymns we use for EMT is Empty Minded Twit. That’s only second to the acronym for EMS we use which is Even Morons Succeed.
Yep. I fit the bill on both counts.
I really don’t have a whole lot to say. Actually… I did have a whole lot to say… but I forgot it all. I am working on one of my intricate studies though, that you’ll probably see sometime next week. It’ll be another classic example of a post I’ll put hours into… and no one will care. Sometimes I just 
being me.
I actually need to get up early tomorrow… which when you read this is actually today. I need to drive The Steff and The Donkey to the airport because they’re going to Jamaica for a weekend getaway. Bastards. I wish I was them. Well… okay. Not really. I’d rather stay in the states.
Then after I drop them off I have to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles. They say I don’t have insurance. Funny thing… my insurance company says I do. I am so not looking forward to it. Maybe that’s what I’ll use Twitter for… to tell you all how excruciatingly painful the DMV is. Doesn’t that sound like fun? Right… as if you care. Liars.
Maybe if I think of something more interesting later… I’ll post it. Don’t hold your breathe though, k? Work seems to have the ability to suck the interesting right out of me.

Which… really… after reading the profile I had written for them… well… I am pretty obnoxious now aren’t I???

Why, myself of course! I nominated myself for Best Videoblogger (I eat cereal… now THAT’S entertainment), Most Obnoxious Blogger (I’m running low on cereal… now get me some pie, bitch!), Freakiest Blogger (why deny it? I’m fucking PROUD I eat cereal!), and Worst Blog Of All Time (I so should win it! Have I mentioned I eat cereal????).
Now the Blogger’s Choice Awards are done by Corporate Mongering PayPerPost… but that’s okay. They let me nominate myself, so they can’t be that bad. I also made a few other nominations. Namely Avitable for Best Humor Blog. Miss-Britt for Hottest Mommy Blogger, and Denise for Hottest Mommy Blogger. What can I say… there are a lot of hot mommies out here.
