So I’m finally done working the crazy hours as a mercenary. I have to be honest, I was really surprised that it took so long. In reality, I had finished two weeks ago but the fact that there is a process that needed to be followed, and if you skipped a step then it would crumble took longer for them to realize than anticipated. Usually when I show up to do these types of things, people want me out as soon as possible. Let’s face it, I’m an outsider telling them how to run their company and that usually implies incompetence on their part. These people didn’t seem to see it that way.
So tomorrow (today) I’m back to my usual grind so to speak. It’ll be good to have food choices again, and to be able to actually get some fresh air. The fact that I have the morbidly obese stairchair on my truck now really doesn’t bother me, since I usually end up on those calls anyway. The one thing I’ll probably miss… is Facebook. I suddenly discovered WHY everyone had become so crazy about it. It can be… addictive.
Which, speaking of addiction, I will now have to ween myself off the two cans of Jolt Cola I had been consuming working these insane hours. I need to get back to my water drinking with no more than one ice coffee a day. I need to start watching what I eat (which will be easier with the multiple food choices), and yeah… I need to set a date to quit smoking (again). Why all of a sudden do I feel the need to do this stuff??? Well, it isn’t all of a sudden… its been a long time coming… I’ve just had no gumption to do it. I actually still don’t… so I need to get some.

The bear has been ordered and is in process. They are estimating the delivery date to be 9/24/07… which is actually her birthday so it is working out as planned thus far. Once I get the tracking e-mails… we will begin tracking his journey from the wilds of Vermont down here to the big, bad, city.
