One of the most common call types we respond to is for Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA).  Here’s a typical call involving one car with no injuries.  As you’ll see the response is really no joke even for a single vehicle MVA…

Just as an afternote on some things you may not know…

•The smoke coming from the engine is white, which is just water evaporating off the hot engine.  Had the smoke been black… then yeah… I totally would have needed marshmallows
•The tow company had to wait for FDNY to show up to disconnect the batteries… hence why they didn’t touch the van until they got there
•That was grade A cat litter thrown on the ground to try and absorb the oil from the roadway…

Holiday Cards

Talking to Poppy last night, I asked her what she wanted to do for holiday cards seeing as how the season is quickly approaching and I refuse to go insane from it.  She’s not sure… but I’m sure we’ll come up with something original.  So if you want to get a Holiday Card from Poppy and I, then you’ll need to either contact me with your address via my Contact Page or e-mail me at nycwatchdog AT gmail DOT com with Holiday 2008 Card in the subject line.  Obviously, replace the AT and DOT as you would for an e-mail address.  If your not sure how to do that… well… shit, just use the Contact Page.
