So, did you spend the weekend with Poppy?

Poppy

Um, no more Poppy for you?  There is always more Poppy for you, just remotely until Brittcon.  And, you know… I’m always there in spirit, heart, and mind.

So, pretty soon, you will ALWAYS be able to use this “Poppy and I” statement, huh?

comment by annie  on  06/16  at  01:35 PM

I think you left out the part “Poppy and I sexed all night long.” Perhaps that is why the basement was flooded?

The Wife and I watched “The Happening” Friday night. I expected more from M. Night Shyamalan. I was hoping this film would remind us all what a fantastic storyteller he is. It failed to do so.

Yea, it was OK.... but it wasn’t all that great.

Dawg,
I have been reading your blog for several months.  I think it is great that you and Poppy are now a couple.
I hopped on the blog wagon yesterday after listening for hours on talk radio and talk shoe.
I wish you and poppy all the best.

During my weekend I spent some great time with the family and failed to prepare for some of the stuff at work I needed to do.

I’m ok with that.

SO… I am right to assume you had an AWESOME weekend?

Good… heh

Hehehehe.  Now Dave2’s heart is broken, he thought he had a chance with me. wink

But seriously, ... your Poppy is only 6 short hours away and more than happy to do that drive if you need her.  And still seriously: But NOT with the Ripples.  There’s no way I can bring her unless she’s drugged.  MEW MEW MEW MEW MEW is aggravating after 10 minutes, imagine 360 minutes!

Did you like The Happening?  It’s gotten pretty bad reviews.  I recommend The Incredible Hulk - very fun movie!

Awww, that sounds like a wickedly fun weekend. I saw Kung Fu Panda last week and I thought it totally kicked ass.

Glad you two had such a great weekend. Mine was pretty good, too. Got to talk to my daughters on Father’s Day and do an hour show with one of them! Yay!

Turnbaby- Yeah… with the exception of flooding, wind, heat and the other plagues… it was a damn good weekend.

Metalmom- Who’s Poppy?

Strange Person With Voluptuous Boobies- The way that matters will be forthcoming… soon… patience Grasshopper… soon…

Annie- Copy and Paste are beautiful things…

Bucky- Actually, we call that “Saying, ‘Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!’”… and I assure you… we said “Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!” all night long.

Charlene in Arkansas- Thanks for delurking!  Welcome to the blogosphere!  Blog hard!

Whall- I would be totally fine with that as well.

DutchBitch- Yeah… you could say that.  Or you could say it was fucktastic.  Either works.

Strange Person With Voluptuous Boobies- Oh I know… which is why I smiley smiley smiley her!  And your right… Dave2, and both halves of the internet, are heartbroken.

Avi(table)- To be honest, if you are a fan of M. Night (ie. you liked Unbreakable, Signs, and thought The Village was okay) then you will like The Happening.  If you only liked The Sixth Sense, then no, its gonna suck.  If for some reason you liked Lady In The Water… then there’s really no hope for you anyway.  My brother saw Hulk, and his review was pretty crappy of it… he said that if it hadn’t been for Ed Norton, it would be a straight to DVD.

AmyD- To be honest, I really was not feeling Kung-Fu Panda until I read the reviews.  I tend to think I will feel the same way about Wall-E… depending on the reviews of course.

B.E. Earl- That’s what I asked!  Obviously though… she’s a hottie… and totally unavailable because I heard her boyfriend’s bite is worse than his bark.

Like, black and blue bite stuff.

Karl- Yeah it was a pretty good time.  I did download your show to the iPod, but unfortunately after the HillySpactacular, the next 9 hours ended up being all Jester!  At least I know I have something to listen to tomorrow!

Stephanie- Thanks!  We need it!  I dropped the application off to the office today… and unfortunately it got left with a receptionist I do not put all my faith in.  She better not screw it up!  smiley

I love Unbreakable and thought Signs was okay.  Never saw The Village.

I really loved Ang Lee’s Hulk (except the last five minutes) and this version, while completely different, was on par with it for me.  I like them both individually, which I really didn’t think I would.

You should like The Happening then.  Honestly, Ang Lee’s left me with a bad taste in my mouth.  Slow to start with a bad ending… but the middle was marvelous with a few minor wrinkles.  I think it was the whole psycho dog’s that daddy had bit.

I’m probably going to go see it… but I wasn’t surprised to see the lines for Kung-Fu Panda were longer than either Hulk or The Happening.

If YOU think it was good… then it’s a definite deal sealer.
