It sounds like you had an eventful weekend!  And didn’t take enough pictures.

How in the heck did you not manage to find pizza in NYC?

comment by Dave2  on  07/01  at  12:16 PM

We found several places for Pizza!

They were just all closed.

I can’t help it that the city never sleeps but CLOSES EVERYTHING ON SUNDAY!!

My spam word is “couldn’t”. Heh.

Good luck with your housing search - I’m sure you’ll find something soon!

What did you spill on Cissa? Or am I assuming here?

You couldn’t find NY Pizza in NYC?  Just kidding...I feel your pain.  Had that same problem a couple of months ago.

My friend is giving up her apartment up on York as of August 1st.  I would assume that it wouldn’t interest you because it’s a small studio, but if you are interested email me at and I will try to find out the details for ya.

An extra day with me is not worth the aggravation?

Huh.

Ok, ok, fine, I’ll leave an unsnarky comment since I know that’s not how you meant it.

We’ll find a place.  Chin up, silly.

comment by Poppy  on  07/01  at  02:12 PM

I agree. Missing work is hardly worth the aggravation of dealing with the mess when you return.

LMAO I nearly fell off my chair when I saw what you wrote, Dawg!

It was so awesome meeting you and Poppy along with everyone else this weekend! Now I have more reasons to come down to the City!

Sorry I didn’t get to say good bye to you two, but I had a train to catch, and even took a later one than I anticipated...but he, that’s life and I can still talk to you online! smile

Mutt Royalty- You are absolutely right… I didn’t take nearly enough pictures… which has been truer the older I get.  When I was 19, I literally shot 127 rolls of 35mm, 36 exp., AS400 film with a processing fee of approx $12.00 per roll at Disney World… now that it’s all digital and CHEAP… I shot 7 pictures.  Sad really.

Dave2- There were places… but they were closed as is the norm on a Sunday afternoon in the Tourist District.

Miss Britt- Babe, its the CITY that never sleeps… not the people.  Needless to say, I bet the pizza from the bodega would have been fine… even if it had sat there for 6 hours under the heatlamp… or maybe not.

Avitable- Yeah… I know… it’s just one of those things where you have an image in your mind of how things are supposed to go… and they don’t… but it will happen.

Finn- Your assuming… but that’s okay!

Tori- I know… I feel so ashamed… downer ... from now on I need to take weeks off at a time… so I can actually turn the phone off.

B.E. Earl- Thanks for the offer… but a studio on York probably runs what a three bedroom in Queens runs… and we kinda need the room.

Poppy- Stop. Your. Madness.  smiley

There is always that cardboard box by the movie theater…

Bucky- Yeah… it wouldn’t have been so bad… but I told them what to do on my day off, and resolved issues on my day off… but they just didn’t do what they were told… hence my nightmare doubled this morning because of the things I thought were done having not been done… and the new stuff ontop of it.  Craziness.

Cissa- Yeah, I totally understand.  Had it not been for the fact that I think I was on the receiving end of a heterophobe action from a waiter at the diner, we would have been done sooner.  But hey, thanks for the shirt and hat!

And we will always have online…

Cardboard box? *perk* ... Oh, except those get soggy during the torrential downpours, which is proving to be a bit problematic this year.

How about a cardboard box covered in Hefty bags?  cheese

(And I promise my madness. is. stopped.  smiley  )

I knew StarBucks basically marketed crap in a cup to people stupid enough to buy it, but now you can actually get *stool* there?

What is this country coming to?

Yes...Twitter is not the most reliable source of anything lately.  So today I got persnickety when people were using THAT to contact me...hrmph.

Oh wait, this is not about me...sheesh.  wink

comment by Hilly  on  07/01  at  07:46 PM

I can get you a bigass box of heavy duty plastic if you need it for your cardboard boxes...CHEAP.

Seriously, much luck with the housing search, I know how much it sucks & I don’t live in NYC (or a burrough).

(Is that how you spell that burrow word??)

pictures?  you want pictures?!?!!  i got pictures!
hehe

gotta tell ya dawg, i found the torrential downpour to be a highlight of the trip.  i love rain.  even sideways rain that drives a group to a hot dog stand umbrella with guys who won’t invite me in to snuggle.  but it would have been nicer without the jeans.  perhaps next time you and poppy could be pantsless??!?!!!  yay!

Well, there WAS Sbarros, but that isn’t NY pizza. It barely counts as pizza at all, really.

Poppy- Laminated cardboard?

Whall- It’s the end of the world… and I feel fine.

Hilly- It’s ALWAYS about you!!!

Tug- Plastic isn’t really environmentally friendly… we’re trying to go green.  (And borough only has one r… but its all goosh)

Holahohosnarf- Yeah… well… between walking from the Apple Store to the museum, then all over Times Square in wet boots, then looking for pizza… it wore my paws out.  Next time… I’m hijacking a Segway.

Karl- Right… Sbarros can also be found in any half-way decent airport food court in the world.  In fact… isn’t there one at Grand Central?

Yes, we’ll live in the Frosted Flakes Gold box.  A much better use for that box than a container for that nasty ass cereal inside.  Gah, that stuff’s NASTY.

Poppy needs to make you watch the first season of Arrested Development.  Just give the first few episodes a chance, and if you don’t laugh, then don’t bother.  But I think you’ll laugh.

MOVIE NIGHT!

Something tells me his dislike of Jason Bateman might overrule his enjoyment of the show, but I’ll try anyway.
