Ummm… “great” is a one-syllable word. You can’t hyphenate it, which is the test… isn’t it?
Hahaha. Screenshotting and sending to failblog.
Okay, I totally had to enter, especially after reading the comments arguing over haiku prose.

I won’t win anything, but I couldn’t resist.

There you go sugar---I do lurve me some haiku
Dave2- I know this is like second grade English… but I don’t know. If great is one syllable… then I may still be viable
Danalyn- Oh great… spread my fail across the Internets! You should enter the contest… you never know!
Poppy- Is that why this is nagging me? I hate him. Really.
Geeky Tai-tai- I used to be able to do it without issue… but apparently I’m quite rusty.
Turnbaby- You should DEFINITELY enter that one.
Avitable- Really? Fuck me. I need to go relearn my language.
“In each of us two natures are at war… the good and the evil. All our lives the fight goes on between them, but one of them must conquer. In our own hands lies the power to choose. What we want most to be we are.” – Dr. Henry Jekyll
Avi said what I was going to say.
But hey—at least you tried. I couldn’t even manage that.
Haha!!
Haikus make me crazy. but I might try - for the heck of it.
Finn and Avitable both caught it, given, I had to read it like four times before I figured it out. And I did have to go to Dictionary.com to figure out how many syllables were in the words I used.
I did not see a rule about how many you can enter. Maybe you can try again.
I have a friend who writes a haiku everyday. I should tell her about this. Then I can get her old Mac! Which is actually only a month old.
I entered an old haiku that I wrote that won first place in my company’s haiku contest. I’m sure it won’t win, but whatever. Worth a try.
