If Kobayashi wins after not actually qualifying to be in the competition there will be an outcry.

“Gums blazing,” *giggle*

It’s a hot dog eating contest, of course it’s about the hype! :p

PS - Happy July 4th!  I will spend mine in a movie theater, in my car, and/or in bed with the kitties.  Cuz I’m super patriotic and shit.

It’s going to be on fucking ESPN?  Wow.

It’s on ESPN every year for the last 8 or 9.  The baseball games don’t start until 1:00pm… so its pretty good filler… kinda like the cheerleader competitions during the All-Star break.

Did you just compare hot dog eating to cheerleading?

I’m telling someone you said that.

Well, in the end, they do both involve swallowing meat!

Poppy- Well… it’s not like it’s prime time!!!

Avitable- Quite true!  Hot dogs are dominant in both sports… who knew lips and assholes would be so popular?

I’ve watched it on ESPN before. I’m one of those idiots who has to have the cable sports package. LOL I hope you’re wrong. I want that Mustard Belt to stay in the US!

Happy Birthday....Poppy spilled the secret.  Or you know just told everyone.
Have a great birthday - 34 was a good year - of course I still lived in NY so that made everything better.

Do they get to have them with condiments?  I love mustard.  I think it will be horribly wrong if Kobayashi wins.

Jaw-y Chestnut took it again this year, in a five-dog tiebreaker with Kobayashi.

Happy Birthday.

Winter- Luckily I was wrong… but not by a whole lot.

Jake Titus- Very cool!  Out of curiosity… does he walk around with the belt?  I know I would…

DaDuck- It’s a sport dammit!  So is herring eating ya know… so your not as safe as you think!

Rachel- Thanks!  I hope it’ll be a good year… it is looking up already… so that’s a good sign.

hang bergens- It’s the menacing look he gives the poster.  They’ve really become about hype, which is pretty sad if you ask me.

Shelli- It’s the eater’s choice.  A few choose ketchup to help it slide down a bit easier.  I would probably do that.

Metlmom- Thanks!  Do you believe Social Security Administration laughed at me when I called about my check?  Bastards.

B.E. Earl- The clam contests make me a little nauseated… other than that… I’m good.

Karen Sugarpants- Thanks!!!  It’s good to know I was born in good company!!!

Stephanie- Thank you!!!

Golf Widow- Yes… he did… but I think there was some shadiness and they forced the tie.  It makes me think it is more like Professional Wrestling than a real contest anymore… and thanks!
