OY. Got to love the “stick it to you policy...” er NOT. Hope you had a fun weekend anyway!!!
The next time I book a hotel for us I’m calling them the day before on the phone to say, “you’re giving us a SMOKING room, RIGHT?”
Lesson learned.
I’m afraid to check my AmEx bill to see if there’s a charge added to it.
Wow that’s crazy. You’d think they’d at least warn you that all rooms are non smoking. and they should have at least honored it and ate the 200 bucks charge themselves. ridiculous.
Man Philly went smoke free like 2 months ago - I think some places had to be compliant by May 1 - Totally sucks for smokers but you all had a good time anyway...I had a blast talking to you at dinner and TC
No smoking policy. Bwahahahahaha! Loved hanging with you guys. Felt like we’d known each other forever, always a good sign.
The blonde whirlwind simply smiled and said “whatever you say dude.”
And then muttered “prove it.”
That was the best part—feeling like we’d all known each other forever and acting like we had.
Wow. I’m not a smoker, but that is total BS! I would think they would have to honor the specific bookings from before that policy change.
Hmmmm that sounds fishy sugar---but it turned out good cause by going out to smoke you found Karl right where you’d left him
That whole no smoking thing did not work out for the Sheraton...at all.
I miss you guys, dammit!
the blonde whirlwind is smart enough to leave our room when needing to smoke out the sheraton. screw them and their $200 fee.
p.s. she also is smart enough to hide the bodies.
LisaB- Well I had been looking forward to smoking in my PJs… but otherwise… it was just like another day in the city… only it was WAY more fun!
Poppy- Well, it’s definitely something we now know the reconfirm… just in case there are any sudden convenient legislation changes.
Avi- I’m just really curious as to how they would turn around and actually prove it. Smoke detectors? Hidden cameras? It would be interesting to know.
Yoshi- Had they acknowledged the fact we did indeed have a smoking reservation and would have eaten the $200, I would have been alot happier. It’s just crappy customer service otherwise.
Libragirl- Well I’m sure hotels were last on the list to be compliant… and yes… it doesn’t change the fact we had a blast! It was just more of the annoyance that I HAD the reservation but it wasn’t honored.
Karl- I totally agree… which in my mind just furthers the argument that virtual relationships are indeed “real” relationships.
Miss Britt-
Well yeah… I’m really curious how they would prove it.
Kyra- I can understand not being able to, since the law is the law… but then either notify people who have those reservations or do not allow those types of reservations to be booked.
Turnbaby- Ah so true… so very very true!
Hilly- What? There was NO smoking in the hotel room… just alot of making out.
And we miss you too!!!
Hellohahanarf- I agree. She has awesome body hiding skills. Makes you wonder though just what WAS in that Cheesesteak…
