Thank you for correctly answering the question about my actual eye color without looking at my eyes. You may stay.
Patterson really is doing a lot of good here, isn’t he!!!!!?!?!???!
Oh, wait, no he isn’t.
I’m going to get a tattoo of a barbie with a tattoo on Sunday.
I don’t know.
I think any Mom with any kind of tattoo, even a tramp stamp, wouldn’t mind the tattoo culture involved in their children’s toys.
We tattoo folks are very loyal. And I only have one.
Seriously? For real? You and Poppy are going to TequilaCon? That’s great! Rachel and I are only going because you guys are - i’m just putting that out there.
Will you be joining us for a couples massage @ Ten Thousand Waves? (you and Poppy, of course...)
As for Gov. Patterson, he’s fucking up, plain and simple. I am looking forward to your post on the issue so I can see your side, since you will be directly affected.
So no removable nipple piercings on Barbie in the near future then, I gather? Crap! I was looking forward to Hardcore Piercing Barbie :(
Have fun at TequilaCon when you go! Yay!
Whoa, She-Ra conference? I’m going to have to pull my Halloween costume out for that one.
People will see MJ. He has some crazy ass devoted fans.
I wish I could go, too. :(
Patterson makes no sense whatsoever.
I’ll miss youse too.
And I totally have a tramp stamp and when I heard about Barbie I cracked the fuck up. I love it. But I have a son, not a daughter so maybe I’m not the best mom to ask. :D
Oh, and the ambulance thing… did you mean that Medicaid will no longer reimburse for ambulance service?
That’s fucked up. (I seem to being typing “fuck” a lot today. I blame you.)
We shall see, we shall see. I have Vahid working on me so uh, I may have to just let *that* last a little longer.
Mattel sued Bratz because the creator of Bratz worked for Mattel when he came up with the idea for whore dolls. So Bratz had to stop making/selling them. So now, Barbie is gonna have to step it up and whore it up a little. The tattoo is just the first step.
I plan to go to TequilaCon this year, and I’m really nervous about it. It kind of puts me out of my comfort zone, and I am really an intraverted (and extremely shy) person.
But hey, sometimes you gotta step out of that comfort zone.
I’m probably definitely coming to TequilaCon this year (*and* the She-Ra Blogging Conference, methinks), and I can’t wait to meet you guys! All I know is, when I think about going, I get happy, and when I think about not going, I get sad. I will lock down my plans just as soon as the billing cycle on my AMEX turns over…
Lynda - Good for you! I look forward to meeting you!
Yay! I’m excited that I get to see you both again. maybe this time I’ll yanno remember my camera.
Poppy- Eye iz da bomb!
B.E. Earl- I’m sure there is one out there who regrets her Ode to NKOTB ink… somewhere.
Robin- Really? You and Rachel are going because of us? We were only going because of you!!! OMFG!!!
DutchBitch- Heh. I’ll pierce her… with a sodering iron.
Avitable- Yeah yeah yeah. Save the Kleenex for when you’re overcome by estrogen in Chicago.
B- He does have some seriously crazy fans. They deserve each other. Really.
Sybil- Yeah we wish you were going too! Thankfully your not She-Raing at the other one though. Avitaween at least?
Finn- I really have no problem with it… especially cause the tattoos are, well, kinda dumb… it’s the upset mothers I laugh at… and yes, it would essentially no longer pay ambulances for their transports of Medicaid patients.
Hilly- Hilly! Hilly! Hilly! Come on… you know you want to be Iron Fisted!!!
Twinkie- All the dolls are whores in my opinion. I mean c’mon… Barbie was supposed to be with Ken but yet you always found her in G.I. Joe‘s aisle. Coincidence? I think not.
Lynda- Yay Lynda!!! As intimidating as coming out of your comfort zone may be… it is relatively thrilling!
Lizriz- Yay Liz!!! At least you’ll get your drool on for the RIGHT reasons in Santa Fe!!!!
Sarah- Yay Sarah!!! You should definitely bring your camera! And batterries!

I’m going to TC09 and I’m pumped that a lot of important blog friends will be there and I’ll finally be able to meet them.
I’d definitely pay to see MJ. I’m a big fan. Can’t wait for his next album.
I’m not sure what the “uproar” was - I can see boycotting and raising awareness for something seen as inappropriate, but I don’t know if it went past that. It’s one thing to protest (which I can support) but it’s another to try to interfere with legal action or something like that.
But I don’t know if I care enough to research it.
RE: Barbie - when do you suppose the parents are gonna start parenting, if you don’t want your daughter to play with that toy - they you don’t buy it. See how that works?
Question - if I let my daughter have removable tattoos (she’s six...) am I a bad mom?
Whall- I’m glad that I won’t be the only Republican stronghold in Santa Fe.
Karl- Uh yeah, you fucking better. We have a date with Chicken Killer at the brewery.
Fantastagirl- I honestly don’t know when parents will actually accept responsibility for the actual act of parenting. Lord knows the parents in Massachusetts have no intention to do so. Do I think it makes you a bad parent? Absolutely not… but if you chose not to buy your child the toy because you felt it sent the wrong message, I would also think that you are not being a bad parent. I think parents who try to force other individuals/companies into parenting for them instead are the bad citizens… not necessarily parents… but definitely bad citizens.
