So while I was perusing my gazillion unread feeds early Sunday morning as I waited for the bear trap to go off on that big ass rabbit burglar… I came across this post from those social web hellions @Mashable.  I can’t help but agree with them that this is probably just a momentary fad… but still… it seems pretty cool in theory and thus far the execution seems pretty cool too.

What I am talking about is Color Wars 2008.  If you have a Twitter account, you follow your team, and then answer these challenges that get posted on the Color Wars 2008 website.  Unfortunately, there is no RSS feed for the site… which means I will probably forget about it after a week or so.  Until then though… one guess as to which team I have joined?

Really?

Of course I joined the Orange Team!!!  This war is on!!! 

The first “game” is a Rock, Paper, Scissors type challenge.  You take a picture of yourself in “team uniform” throwing either Rock, Paper, or Scissors.  You need to be clear which one your throwing (do you think I was clear enough?) and then upload it to Flickr with certain tags, and then finally submit the link to the main site.

So hey… even though I’ll probably forget about it in a week or two… at least I can say I tried.

It also got me to thinking that people may not realize that I have a Twitter account, I’m on Youtube, Viddler, MySpace, Facebook, Stumbleupon, Digg, Technorati, Flickr, and of course MyBlogLog which actually gave me that widget in the sidebar that lists all those places (except I think Viddler… poor Viddler) where you can find me.

So yeah… I’m in all those places… and I have 300+ personal blog feeds to read… and I read over 200+ other feeds for industry specific news, city news, web news, blogging news, and some other crap… oh, AND I still work full time.  Yeah.  Whoever said I was a shy introvert obviously doesn’t realize just how much of a social butterfly I really am.
