As many of you may know, I have a history with Rachel Ray.

First, she did an ad for Dunkin’ Donuts that had her in black and white holding an ice coffee that was in color.  That was obviously stolen from my own Cereal Wednesday picture.

Then, in an ad, she called the guy mopping the floor New Guy.  I’ve been calling my Dunkin’ Donuts guy New Guy since 2003.

Now however, this has happened…

Last week The Chicago Tribune reported on a controversy over the above Rachel Ray ad.  See that scarf she is wearing?  Supposedly it is similar to a kaffiyeh, a traditional Muslim scarf and apparently also part of every terrorist sympathizer’s wardrobe.  The ad makes it appear as if Rachel Ray is a sponsor for terrorism… never mind the stereotyping of the Muslim people who wear their century’s traditional garb.  Apparently Dunkin’ Donuts also thinks every Muslim in the country is a terrorist as well when they acquiesced and pulled the ad.

I would absolutely never be caught in a scarf like that… way too many fringes on the ends.
