Sunday Smorgashboard Edition 26

Where has the past week gone?  Already today is Sunday, and it’s time for another Smorgashboard of interesting posts, articles, and tid-bits from my blogosphere.  However, this Smorgashboard and all the others that may follow now have the following disclaimer:

Smorgashboard Sunday is a weekly compilation of interesting posts, pictures, and videos that I have found within the 250+ feeds of personal or personal related blogs that I currently read.  Due to the volume of blogs and the 10-12 posts I limit myself to comment on, there may be times when posts that you author do not appear.  This is not to say that you did not have a good post, or an important post, or even a post I did not read because in all likelihood I did indeed read it.  This simply means that for that week(s) that you are excluded… well… I thought other posts were better choices for the Snacking.  This does not mean I don’t like you, I don’t love you, or that I don’t read you.  It just means that for that week(s), I chose other posts but there is always the possibility of next week.  Unless.

Unless you cry, whine, send me e-mail messages begging me to feature you, send e-cards with links to the posts you want linked, tell me how I don’t love you, tell me how I don’t like you, tell me how sad you are, tell me how I don’t read you even though you know I did because I commented that week, and/or try to muscle me with threats of large “goombas” paying a visit.  If you do any of that… then hold your breathe until you see yourself on the Smorgashboard again.  While your doing that… go get a white hat and get yourself some Smurfberry Pie ‘cause you’ll be blue before you see it.

So, now that we have that out of the way… on to the Smorgashboard!!!

There is still no official word on the future of IT2M.  Diaz de Mayo will make one month since the announcement that Ms. Chatty and Bitter Bitch were departing from the site.  While there are a number of rumors and so on going on, there is no official word and no leaked information that could be deemed as legit.  During this period of the unknown, it seems though that BlogLaughs has given itself a final chuckle.  They have officially closed up shop.  So another review site bites the dust.

Are you a coffee connoisseur? Well then you better be reading the Best Coffee Blogger according to the RFS Blog Awards, Hot Coffee Girl!  Personally… I’m all about her mugs.

Poppy has given me just one reason why I should not write off the new Battlestar Galactica after everyone and their mother became Cylons.  Oh okay… so its two reasons… I mean… zowie!

Mistress Yoda runs this monthly comment contest where the winner gets a post about them AND their own smiley.  This month, none other than Gemini took the top spot.  Well… okay… the second to top spot… but if the President of the United States can become President without winning the popular vote… then why can’t Gemini?

Ever want to hear a legit southern accent?  Yeah… Denise totally sounds like she’s from below the Mason Dixon line…

I can’t wait for her YouPorn premiere with the girl from school’s brother.

There is always an increase in organ donors during summertime from all the bikers who think they know how to ride.  It turns out Tori happens to own a bike… that she just conveniently lost for the last 5 years… until through the miracle of coincidences she found it again.  See what you find when you actually pick the laundry up from off the floor!

Have you seen Spider-Man 3 yet?  I hope so because as Joefish points out, trying to explain the whole Venom thing only leads to chocolate.  Then again… maybe that isn’t such a bad thing afterall.

I have come to the conclusion that the best snitcher in the blogosphere is Bluepaintred.  After she tells on you… she’ll give you a popsicle.  Snitch me out anytime… and I like orange (duh) thank you very much.

Do you think EMTs are good?  Well as Frankie has artfully shown… we’re really a bunch of evil devils.  Somebody pass me a marshmallow please.

Finally, John Green of Brotherhood 2.0 has found evidence that book banning is alive and well in America.  The book that has been banned is The Bermudez Triangle by Maureen Johnson.  It’s always interesting when people ban something they’ve never read.  Who’s next?  Me?  Yeah… I can understand why.  Manical tyrant dictators who HATE orange.

So that has been this edition of Smorgashboard Sunday!  Pretty tasty week wouldn’t you say?  Additionally, I have decided to start doing something weekly for those who have had the honor of being snacked upon.  So I designed this simple button for those who may want to display their snacked upon status proudly:

Additionally… because I am beyond benevolent and loving contrary to what some people believe… here is the code for you to use with a permalink directly to this post.  So if your blog was snacked upon today, all you need to do is copy and past the code:

Who’s better than me, huh?  Yeah… okay… you are.  If you didn’t make this week and still want the button, then you can still have it and link it to whichever Smorgashboard you were on.  Future editions will provide the code in that post.
