Welcome to a very special edition of Smorgashboard Sunday. Today is special for 3 reasons. The first is that today is Miss Ann Thrope’s birthday! Does anyone else find it odd that she was born on the Get High Holy Day For Potheads of 4/20? Well no matter, a Happy Birthday to Miss Ann… and a Happy High to all my Mary Jane loving readers!
This being the 66th Edition of Sunday Smorgashboard is of course going to be related to Order 66… the order issued by Grand Chancellor Palpatine to the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic to exterminate their Jedi Commanders. It was this order that saw the 501st Legion of the GAR join the newly annointed Darth Vader massacre everyone in the Jedi Temple and complete his transition to the dark side.
Is it just coincidence then that the 66th Edition of Sunday Smorgashboard coincides with Pope Benedict XVI‘s mass at Yankee Stadium… for which I will be doing the medical standby for… and he just happens to have a very uncanny similar appearance to none other than the issuer of Order 66, Grand Chancellor Palpatine aka Darth Sidious himself? It makes me wonder if in fact there is a greater purpose… or a greater force… behind this particular Snacking…
Yeah. I have way too much time on my paws this Saturday morning (which is when I actually write this post in case you never figured that out). Anyway… onto the best kibbles ‘n’ bits from my blogosphere this past week…

The advertising critic Copyranter has decided to call it quits in the blogosphere. Will anyone REALLY miss it? I don’t think so… but I wanted to throw it out there.
How hard is it to be an advertising critic you may ask? Well I’m not sure but Poppy seems to have done a fine job of criticizing ads herself. Yeah… who needs Copyranter when we have Poppy? Besides… she’s way cuter too.
Avitable has the most reliable birthday calendar in the blogosphere… since he was the only one who remembered that this little witch turned legal. If there’s grass on the field… play Quidditch.
People in the Sun is on a quest for fame and fortune. Of course he meets ironic circumstances at every turn. Its not to know it doesn’t just happen to me.
Miss Britt has become a high flier in the blogosphere going first class all the way. I just hope she snags a few of those high class/high tech vomit bags for me… the little people.
Miss Anne Derstood must be a direct descendant of the pilgrims. Why else would The Turkey of Doom hover over her? They’re gobbling for vengeance…
Turnbaby has one bad ass set of wheels. In fact, it’s so bad ass, it got taken away and locked up like a criminal. Of course… it was a case of mistaken identity. We all know it was the Volkswagen in the Drive-Thru with the candlestick.
Rachel unknowingly provided me with proof that yes… Magic: The Gathering is still in play. *SIGH* I hate Wizards for doing so well with it while my MechWarrior wallows in neglect from Wizkids.
The Ice Princess KG has felt the pain at the pump the worst so far as I can tell. A fill-up for me is only $50. If it ever gets to the amount she spent… then I’m seriously going to look into another way to get around.
While the world will be watching the Olympics… Mr. Fab will be dominating the Sport of Kings. If the Chinese really wanted to prove their worldliness… then they’d make air hockey an Olympic sport. Enough of this ping-pong shit.
/brandon\ told an interesting tale about an abandoned bike he found in the woods… and then abandoned again. If the gas prices keep going up… I may be looking for that bike.

It is that time of year again. Dave over at Blogography will be celebrating Blogiversary V at some time this week! I have zero idea what he’s doing for it this year… but considering last year’s extravaganza… I’m sure it’s going to be cooler than a sex tape of Bad Monkey in Paris.

Smorgashboard Sunday is a weekly compilation of interesting posts, pictures, and videos that I have found within the 350+ feeds of personal or personal related blogs that I currently read. Due to the volume of blogs and the 10-12 posts I limit myself to comment on, there may be times when posts that you author do not appear. This is not to say that you did not have a good post, or an important post, or even a post I did not read because in all likelihood I did indeed read it. This simply means that for that week(s) that you are excluded… well… I thought other posts were better choices for the Snacking. This does not mean I don’t like you, I don’t love you, or that I don’t read you. It just means that for that week(s), I chose other posts but there is always the possibility of next week. Unless.
Unless you cry, whine, send me e-mail messages begging me to feature you, send e-cards with links to the posts you want linked, tell me how I don’t love you, tell me how I don’t like you, tell me how sad you are, tell me how I don’t read you even though you know I did because I commented that week, and/or try to muscle me with threats of large “goombas” paying a visit. If you do any of that… then hold your breathe until you see yourself on the Smorgashboard again. While your doing that… go get a white hat and get yourself some Smurfberry Pie ‘cause you’ll be blue before you see it.
